Good news for us in Detroit. This was announced Friday:
Quote:
Design and Graphics Director Steve Dorsey will become Assistant Managing Editor for Presentation, effective Monday. He will report to Executive Editor Caesar Andrews.
Steve has served the Free Press well in many ways. He’s overseen compelling work by his design and graphics teams, he’s organized seamless transitions to CCI and the 50-inch web, and he’s been a catalyst in the rethinking project.
His leadership as we go forward with our Sunday project – and all the related improvements to the Free Press associated with that in all departments – will be critical to our success.
As presentation editor, he will oversee the development and implementation of design enhancements to the Free Press. Those will include finding more ways to do smash presentation of our best work and giving us more lively elements that busy readers can quickly absorb and more navigational tools to help them through the paper.
Steve and his design team will be involved with all departments as they prepare for our new Sunday paper and as the Sunday teams also come up with content improvements to our weekday offerings and the brand-new Free Press Saturday paper. It’s an exciting time here, and we’re glad to have Steve’s skills to help take us forward.
Wow. How great is that? You go, Steve. Congratulations. _________________ All the region 3 news you will ever need!: www.visualeditors.com/bogdas
