A memo from the leadership team at the Lexington Herald-Leader:
Quote:
Kenny Monteith has accepted a position with the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. He will be the Sports Design Team Leader.
Kenny will be here through the kickoff of the new features and business sections, which he helped craft. His last day will be sometime in October.
Kenny came to the Herald-Leader a year ago from The Washington Post. His ideas, energy and enthusiasm will be greatly missed. Please join me in wishing him well in his new position.
Kenny was the Presentation Editor in Lexington.
He begins work in Atlanta on Oct. 17.
Sorry, I can't seem to find Kenny's NPD portfolio. Kenny, do you not have samples of your work posted online?
Kenny and I go back nearly 12 years. He was our intern at the Raleigh News & Observer. And the very first SND function I ever attended -- a Quick Course at UNC-Chapel Hill in March 1992 -- Kenny was one of the student hosts.
Congratulations, my friend! Eat a hot dog for me at The Varsity! _________________ -Charles

Many congratulations, Kenny. Atlanta has a huge number of Tar Heel grads living in it, and you won't have to hear that much about UK basketball -- not that there's anything wrong with that.

LOL.... there's plenty wrong with that.
You know we bleed the lighter shade of blue.
Thanks for the congratulations. _________________ Cheesy Charlie’s is great. They have a game where you put in a dollar and you get four quarters. I win every time. - Chris Griffin, The Family Guy
