So Google-SkyNet goes online in 2007.
Good to know. I'll start packing guns in coffins.

Well, first off great Web design on that.

Second, I'm worried about the future of newspapers, but I'll cross that example off my list.

And third, there's no way in the world all that will unfold without Apple. Just not possible.

That's just friggin' spooky.

It was really convincing right up until the phrase "Googlezon" was coined. They'll be more clever than that.

I was going to write that and then just forgot! I saw it and I was like ..."Googlezon?" I mean, for all that creativity there just had to be something better. And remember, just because two big companies merge, it doesn't mean they share names. It's not going to be K-Sears.

That was pretty cool, and yeah, a bit spooky. Too bad they forgot to take into account that anything that has as big an audience as EPIC supposedly does must invariably appeal to the lowest common denominator, and as long as that level includes people who don't even know how to hook up a computer after they take it out of the box, newspapers will be safe, no matter how far technology will have come in 10 years. Was it Chris Rock who said, "You know how we all thought that by the year 2000, everything was going to be all hi-tech like The Jetsons? It ain't even The Jeffersons." (yeah I know, I'm quoting a true sage here. But hey, it fits)

True. I thought back in the '80s that by the year 2000 we'd have those flying cars and have the ability to zap ourselves to another location (Star Trek-ish). Heck, our vehicles are still gulping gas and I haven't gotten out of my chair all day. If this timeframe continues, epic won't roll out till 2090. Epic sounds a lot like the Enquirer, a whole lotta news but nothing really is believable. Thank goodness for good journalists these days and into the future.
